Our Goal
Our services are available to any student in the US. We are
currently servicing over 300 campuses across the country. We
provide services strictly for students. Our goal is to make
every students life easier in finding used text books and
saving them extra dollars. We also trying to bring student
community together by providing latest news, as well as
direct interaction between students by using our easy to use
forum.
Funding
The use of the website is absolutely free for anyone. All
the funding comes from our own pocket and sponsors. We bring
to students what they want, like no one else. Its up to the seller how to sell his or
her books, and how long to keep it and either to replace it
with another book. Each book is listed for 12 months from
the date its posted. The number of textbooks that could be
posted at once is unlimited.
Positive Impact
It is an exciting project that should have significant and
tangible benefits to the American student community. It is
expected that in 2005, StudentsSellBooks.com has the potential to
save American students over $3.4 million dollars.
It is estimated that at least 30% of students do not buy
all of their "required reading" textbooks. The primary
reason is lack of funds. StudentsSellBooks.com is designed to
help students either recoup past expenditure so they can
afford new textbooks, or lower the cost of books they cannot
currently afford to buy new.
